Automated arbitrage systems were first introduced into the financial markets in the 1980s. As computer technology has developed, systems have become increasingly sophisticated and diverse and now find application in almost every facet of market activity. Automated electronic systems range from simple auto-spreaders to complicated, tranching, market-making and fully automated portfolio trading systems. To reflect the diversity of these systems, this site has simply been named TradingMachines.net.

TradingMachines.net aims to provide nuts and bolts information to anyone involved in developing trading machines. The directory on the site contains categorised links to relevant sites and the bulletins page will be used to post web logs on a variety of topics relating to practical automated trading. Custom programming and research services are also available via this site.
